What is SSH?

SSH stands for Secure Shell, and is a secure method for logging remotely into a server. SSH makes it easy to manage servers without having physical access to the actual server. Most hosts don’t offer SSH as an option, and for good reason considering the security risks. Dedicated hosting often has SSH available as an option unless the server is managed by the host.
